Terms of Service

Last updated July 1, 2026

These Terms are a binding agreement between you and MEAT ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using MEAT, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Who can use MEAT

MEAT is an adults-only service for gay, bi, and queer men and is intended for a mature audience. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your location, if higher) to create an account or use any part of the service. There are no exceptions. By using MEAT you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement, and you authorize us to take reasonable steps to verify your age where we or the law require it.

You may hold only one account, you must provide accurate information about yourself, and you may not use MEAT if we have previously banned you or if applicable law bars you from using this kind of service.

2. Your account

You sign in with your email address using a one-time code or a magic link. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@meat.cc if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not, and will not attempt to:

  • upload, share, or solicit any sexual content involving anyone under 18, or anyone depicted as a minor — this is grounds for immediate termination and reporting to authorities (see Section 5);
  • harass, threaten, stalk, defame, "out," blackmail, extort, or intimidate anyone, or incite others to do so;
  • post another person's private information (including a private address, workplace, or identity) without their consent, or share intimate images of anyone without their consent;
  • use MEAT to advertise, facilitate, or engage in prostitution, sex trafficking, the sale of illegal drugs, or any other illegal activity;
  • impersonate any person, misrepresent your age or identity, or create fake or automated profiles;
  • upload content you do not have the rights to, malware, or spam; or send unsolicited commercial messages;
  • scrape, crawl, reverse engineer, overload, or otherwise interfere with the service, its security, or other users' enjoyment of it.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, videos, text, and other content you post. By posting it, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate, secure, and improve the service, and to the other users you choose to share it with. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained for legal, safety, or backup purposes for a reasonable period.

You are responsible for everything you post. For any content that depicts a real person in a sexual or explicit context, you represent and warrant that every person shown is at least 18 years old, that you have their consent to post it, and that you have the right to share it.

5. Moderation, safety, and enforcement

We may — but are not obligated to — review content and conduct on MEAT. We may remove content, and suspend or permanently ban accounts, at our discretion, including for conduct that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe is harmful, illegal, or unsafe. You can report profiles, messages, and posts from within the app, and we review reports as part of our moderation process.

We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We remove it, terminate the accounts involved, preserve relevant records, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or law enforcement as required by law.

6. Meeting people — your safety

MEAT helps you connect with people nearby, but we do not conduct background or identity checks on users, and we cannot guarantee that anyone is who they claim to be. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. Meet in public first when you can, tell someone where you are going, and trust your instincts. If you feel unsafe, contact local emergency services.

7. Location

MEAT is location-aware. To protect you, the location shown to other users is deliberately approximate — never your exact coordinates — and you control how precise it is, or whether you appear on the map at all, in your settings. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle location.

8. Paid features

Some features may be offered as paid subscriptions or one-time purchases. If and when they are, prices, billing terms, auto-renewal, and cancellation and refund terms will be disclosed to you at the point of purchase, and payments will be handled by a third-party payment processor acting as merchant of record. Those disclosed terms will form part of this agreement.

9. Intellectual property

The MEAT name, logo, software, and design are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding without our prior written permission.

10. Third-party services

MEAT relies on third-party providers (for example, mapping, hosting, email, and any payment processor). Your use of features powered by those providers may also be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services.

11. Disclaimers

MEAT is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that it will meet your expectations.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of MEAT — including your interactions with other users. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or US $100.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.

14. Termination

You may stop using MEAT and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms or to protect the service or its users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content licenses for retained copies, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continuing to use MEAT after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which we are established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree to resolve disputes with us in the courts located there, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
